Meta has launched its Meta One subscription service in the UAE, offering additional features and higher access to artificial intelligence tools across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI.
The company said core features on its apps and Meta AI will remain available to UAE residents for free, while paid subscriptions will provide access to additional functions that require greater computing resources.
Meta One launched with more than 50 features and had recorded 15 million subscriptions and trials by Tuesday, according to the company. Availability, pricing and features vary depending on the region, application and account.
The service includes individual subscriptions for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, as well as bundled plans aimed at users who want greater access to AI capabilities.
Instagram Plus costs Dh7.99 a month, while Facebook Plus is priced at Dh7.99. WhatsApp Plus costs Dh5.99 per month. The individual plans provide additional features focused on personalisation, content and communication.
Instagram Plus includes features such as custom direct-message and Story fonts, notifications when selected people view a user’s Story and DM previews. Facebook Plus offers additional Messenger customisation, more Reels insights and expanded super reactions. WhatsApp Plus is testing features including additional storage for chat and media backups and Focus Schedules, which can hide or mute chats according to a set timetable.
Meta One’s Core bundle costs Dh22.99 a month and combines individual app subscriptions with increased access to AI tools. Users can create and edit more images and videos through Meta AI and use tools such as Restyle on Instagram more frequently.
The Premium bundle costs Dh76.99 a month and provides the features included in Core, alongside greater access to Meta AI content creation across Meta’s apps.
Meta is also offering subscription packages for creators and businesses. The Essential plan starts at Dh46.99 a month and includes an enhanced profile, a prominent follow button on Reels, automatic follow invitations for people who engage with content and greater access to Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp.
The Essential package also includes a verified badge, a verified channel on WhatsApp Business and impersonation protection.
The Advanced plan starts at Dh119 a month and adds features such as scheduling Stories up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics and expanded audience insights. It also allows team members to access an account without sharing a password and provides additional linked devices and WhatsApp business broadcast credits.
For larger operations, Meta offers Expert from Dh359 a month and Max from Dh1,199 a month. These plans provide higher levels of feature access and Meta Business Agent capacity for teams.
Meta said Edits Plus will also join Meta One, bringing additional cloud storage and cross-device project syncing. The company plans to expand the subscription service to further products, including AI glasses, as it develops the platform.
