Singapore Airlines (SIA) has cancelled two flights operating between Singapore and Dubai until February 28, 2027, citing the continuing geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
The airline said the regional security situation remained fluid and warned that further changes to its flight schedule could be necessary as developments unfold.
In a statement, SIA advised passengers to check its online Flight Status page for the latest information before travelling, as other services could also be affected by the evolving situation.
The cancellations currently cover flight SQ494, which operates from Singapore to Dubai, and return service SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore. Both services will remain suspended until the stated date.
Passengers holding bookings on the affected flights will be eligible to request a full refund for the unused portion of their tickets, the airline said. Customers were advised to contact the carrier or their booking agents for assistance with available arrangements.
Singapore Airlines apologised to passengers affected by the cancellations and said it regretted the inconvenience caused by the disruption.
The decision reflects the continuing uncertainty facing international airlines operating routes through the Middle East, where geopolitical tensions have prompted carriers to review schedules and assess operational risks.
The airline did not provide further details about the specific security concerns behind the suspension or indicate whether the services could resume before February 28, 2027. It also did not confirm whether additional routes would be affected.
Passengers travelling between Singapore and Dubai are being encouraged to monitor official airline updates, particularly if they have connecting flights or onward travel arrangements that could be disrupted by the cancellations.
The suspension is subject to further developments in the region, and SIA has indicated that its flight schedule may change as the situation evolves.
