Nvidia Sees Trillion-Dollar Revenue as AI Demand Surges

Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang said on Monday that the chipmaker expects to generate at least $1 trillion in revenue by 2027, underscoring the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and the company’s central role in the sector.

Speaking at Nvidia’s annual developers conference in Silicon Valley, Huang outlined an ambitious outlook for the company as demand for computing power continues to accelerate. “I see, through 2027, at least a trillion dollars in revenue,” he told a packed audience, adding that he believes overall computing demand could exceed that level.

The forecast marks a sharp increase from projections made a year earlier, when Huang estimated revenue at roughly half that amount. The revised outlook reflects surging global demand for Nvidia’s graphics processing units, or GPUs, which are widely used to train and run advanced AI systems.

Huang said the need for computing capacity has risen dramatically in a short period. “Computing demand has increased a million-fold in just two years,” he said, pointing to the rapid adoption of generative AI across industries. He added that there are few signs of the trend slowing, as companies race to expand their AI capabilities.

During the event, Nvidia showcased its latest innovations in GPUs and AI platforms designed to support applications ranging from robotics and software development to large-scale data centres. The company is increasingly focusing on so-called “agentic” AI systems, which can perform tasks independently, as well as tools for training models and running inference, where AI systems generate outputs or make decisions based on data.

Huang told attendees that companies across the technology sector are eager to expand their AI operations but face limitations due to insufficient computing resources. From established firms like OpenAI and Anthropic to emerging startups, many are seeking greater access to processing power to scale their products and services.

Nvidia is positioning its technology across a wide range of industries, including automotive, healthcare, and enterprise software. Huang said the shift toward AI-driven operations is becoming a necessity for businesses worldwide. “Every single enterprise company, every single software company in the world needs an AI agent strategy,” he said.

He described the evolving AI landscape as a multi-trillion-dollar opportunity, driven not only by tools that assist users but also by specialized AI agents capable of handling complex tasks.

The company’s strong outlook highlights how central advanced chips have become to the global AI race. As demand continues to grow, Nvidia’s ability to supply high-performance computing solutions is expected to play a key role in shaping the next phase of technological development.
