Etihad Airways has resumed selected flights between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah from Friday, November 6, while services to Riyadh and Dammam remain suspended until November 19 because of continuing regional disruptions.
In its latest travel advisory, the UAE’s national airline confirmed that all flights between Abu Dhabi and the two Saudi cities would remain cancelled through Thursday, November 19.
Selected services between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah have restarted, including flights EY601 and EY603 from Abu Dhabi, and return services EY602 and EY604 from Jeddah.
The airline said other flights between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah would continue to operate according to their existing schedules.
Etihad warned that the regional situation remained uncertain and that further changes to its flight programme could be necessary. Passengers have been advised to check their flight status through the airline’s official website before leaving for the airport.
The airline apologised for the disruption and said its teams were working to assist affected customers with alternative travel arrangements.
The suspension of services to Riyadh and Dammam follows wider disruption to air travel across the region, with airlines adjusting schedules in response to changing operating conditions.
Dubai-based flydubai had also cancelled flights to Abha, Dammam and Riyadh through November 5. However, its website showed that services to several Saudi destinations were becoming available again from November 6.
According to the airline’s booking information, flights from Dubai to Jeddah were available from November 6, while services to Dammam were listed from November 10. Flights to Abha and Riyadh were available from November 17.
The gradual return of services offers passengers additional travel options between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, although availability and operating schedules remain subject to change.
Travellers with existing bookings have been advised to monitor updates directly from their airlines and confirm their flight details before travelling. Etihad said passengers affected by cancellations could contact its customer service teams for assistance with their arrangements.
