UAE Leaders Extend Condolences to Saudi Arabia Following Royal Bereavement

The leadership of the United Arab Emirates has conveyed messages of sympathy to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, following the passing of the mother of Prince Fahd bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan sent a formal letter of condolence to King Salman, expressing his heartfelt sympathies to the Saudi monarch, the royal family, and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during their time of grief. Sheikh Mohamed prayed for God’s mercy upon the deceased and for strength and patience for the bereaved family.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also conveyed his condolences in a separate message to King Salman. In his note, Sheikh Mohammed extended his prayers for the late royal family member and reaffirmed the bonds of fraternity that tie the UAE and Saudi Arabia together.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, likewise sent a message of sympathy to King Salman. Sheikh Mansour’s message underlined the UAE’s solidarity with the Kingdom in moments of personal and national loss.

In addition, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, expressed his condolences to King Salman. He joined other UAE leaders in offering prayers for the deceased and extended support to the Saudi royal family during their period of mourning.

The exchange of condolences reflects the deep and longstanding ties between the leaderships of the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Both nations share close political, cultural, and historical bonds, and their leaders have consistently demonstrated mutual support during times of celebration as well as sorrow.

The Saudi Royal Court had earlier announced the death of the mother of Prince Fahd bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, leading to an outpouring of sympathy from across the Arab world. Messages of solidarity have been extended by heads of state, senior officials, and dignitaries from multiple countries, highlighting the regional significance of the bereavement.

The UAE’s messages of condolence are part of a tradition of mutual respect and brotherhood that characterizes relations between the Gulf states. As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia mourns the passing of a respected member of its royal family, the UAE leadership’s expressions of sympathy reaffirm the depth of bilateral ties and shared values that continue to define the partnership between the two nations.
