Qatar, Turkiye Discuss Regional Developments Amid Gaza Ceasefire

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Sunday to discuss strengthening bilateral ties and addressing key regional issues, including the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

The meeting focused on ways to enhance cooperation between Qatar and Turkiye while also reviewing developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and Syria. Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to addressing regional instability and working towards sustainable solutions.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of ensuring the continued implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, calling for all parties involved in the conflict to uphold their commitments. He also expressed appreciation for the strong partnership between Qatar and Turkiye in efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.

Qatar and Turkiye have been key diplomatic players in mediating conflicts in the Middle East, particularly in relation to the Palestinian issue. Both countries have engaged in efforts to facilitate humanitarian aid and political negotiations to ease tensions in Gaza and beyond.
