Kuwait Hosts 45th GCC Summit Amid Regional and Global Challenges

The 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) was inaugurated by the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Sunday. Leaders and representatives from GCC member states gathered in Kuwait City to discuss key regional and global issues affecting the bloc.

In his opening address, Sheikh Meshal extended a warm welcome to the GCC heads of state and delegates, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration in the face of mounting challenges. “This summit comes at a crucial time as our region and the world confront complex and unprecedented circumstances,” Sheikh Meshal stated.
