Etihad Airways has confirmed that scheduled flights between the UAE and Pakistan are set to operate as normal on Monday, May 12, following a breakthrough ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.
The Abu Dhabi-based carrier announced on Saturday that select daytime flights on Sunday, May 11, will also resume operations. These include:
-
EY300 / EY301: Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport to Islamabad International Airport
-
EY294 / EY295: Abu Dhabi to Karachi Jinnah International Airport
-
EY288 / EY289: Abu Dhabi to Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport
A spokesperson for Etihad told Khaleej Times that while services are scheduled to proceed, all operations remain subject to further changes as the regional situation continues to evolve.
“All scheduled services between Abu Dhabi and Pakistan on May 12 are currently planned to operate as normal, subject to any further changes,” the airline said.
The announcement comes in the wake of a major diplomatic development. On Saturday, India and Pakistan agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire, a move welcomed by the United Arab Emirates and facilitated by diplomatic efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump.
In a related update, Pakistan’s airspace has been fully reopened for all types of flights, according to the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA). The airspace had been closed to Indian-owned and operated airlines since April 24.
Etihad urged travelers transiting through Abu Dhabi to ensure they have confirmed onward travel arrangements. “Guests transiting through Abu Dhabi to connect to cancelled flights will not be accepted for travel from their point of origin unless they have made separate onward travel arrangements from Abu Dhabi,” the spokesperson noted.
The airline emphasized that it is closely monitoring the situation and coordinating with relevant authorities. “This remains an evolving situation and further changes or disruptions may occur,” the statement read.
Etihad also extended apologies to affected passengers and reaffirmed its commitment to passenger safety. “The safety of our guests and crew remains our highest priority,” the spokesperson said, adding that affected travelers are being supported with rebooking and alternative travel options.

Meanwhile, regional leaders, including UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, have welcomed the ceasefire, expressing hope that the agreement will foster lasting peace and stability across South Asia.
