Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has been recognized as the ‘Best Digital Bank in Qatar’ at the 2024 Banking Excellence Awards by MEED, a leading research and media platform. The award highlights QDB’s outstanding efforts in digital transformation and technological innovation within the banking industry.
The accolade celebrates QDB’s initiatives that go beyond traditional banking services, emphasizing its role in supporting Qatar’s entrepreneurship ecosystem by advancing the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The bank has also played a key role in fostering the adoption of trends related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
As part of its digital transformation strategy, QDB has acted as a financial development partner, providing innovative solutions and comprehensive insights to its clients. A significant milestone in this journey was the launch of its digital portal in January 2023, which has revolutionized the way entrepreneurs manage their accounts, disbursement processes, and business performance reports. The portal’s user-friendly features, integrated with government and financial institutions, have simplified operations, reduced paperwork, and enhanced access to financing for businesses.
QDB’s digital portal has been well received, with 92% of active users returning within just one to five days, reflecting the portal’s ease of use and effectiveness in improving customer satisfaction.
In addition to its customer-facing innovations, QDB has implemented internal digital solutions to streamline operations for employees. These include automating manual processes and creating unified control panels for more efficient decision-making. The bank has also introduced digital trade financing services to simplify procedures for companies.
