Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) announced the latest winner of its popular Misk Account Draw, with Mr. Abdulla Rashid Al-Obaid becoming the newest millionaire in the program’s seventh edition. The draw, conducted in the presence of representatives from Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and QIB officials, awarded Mr. Al-Obaid QAR 1 million, marking a high point for the ongoing savings initiative aimed at encouraging better savings habits among QIB customers.
Accepting the prize on behalf of his brother, Mr. Abdulrahman Rashid Al-Obaid expressed gratitude towards QIB, saying, “We are truly thankful to QIB for this opportunity. The Misk Account has offered my brother an effective way to save money. We are happy to be QIB customers and encourage others to open a Misk Account and enjoy its rewards.”
QIB’s Misk Account initiative has gained popularity for rewarding its savers with substantial cash prizes. As the seventh edition concludes, QIB prepares for the upcoming eighth edition, which will run until October 17, 2025, with a number of enhancements to further benefit participants. The latest program will feature a record prize pool of QAR 17.4 million, providing increased opportunities for customers to win.
Among the upgrades, QIB announced that the number of grand prize winners will rise from four to six, with millionaire draws scheduled every two months. Additionally, the number of QAR 50,000 monthly winners will increase to six, up from four. Every week, 15 lucky customers will also win QAR 10,000 each, ensuring frequent reward opportunities for account holders.

New and existing customers can open a Misk Account conveniently through the QIB Mobile App. Account holders receive a free debit card, are eligible for a complimentary credit card for the first year based on their Misk Account balance, and earn profits on their savings.
