HONOR has officially opened pre-orders for its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V5, in the UAE. The announcement comes after a successful regional launch in Dubai under the theme “Unfold New Possibilities”, which drew strong praise from technology experts, media representatives, and fans.
Ingmar Wang, President of HONOR Middle East & Africa, described the Magic V5 as a device that addresses long-standing issues in foldable smartphones, such as bulkiness, battery life, durability, and camera performance. “The HONOR Magic V5 is not just a flagship device; it represents our vision to unfold new possibilities across the Middle East and Africa,” Wang said.
At the event, the Magic V5 made headlines by securing a Guinness World Record for lifting 104kg — the heaviest weight lifted by a suspended foldable smartphone — showcasing its strength and build quality.
Ultra-Slim Design and Record-Breaking Battery
Measuring just 8.8mm when folded and 4.1mm when unfolded, the Magic V5 offers a slim profile similar to a traditional bar phone. The device incorporates premium materials for a lightweight yet stylish feel. It is equipped with the industry’s largest battery in a foldable — a 5,820mAh silicon-carbon unit — providing all-day power in a compact form. The battery supports 66W wired and 50W wireless HONOR SuperCharge.
Built for Durability
The Magic V5 carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance. Its NanoCrystal Shield offers 15 times greater scratch resistance than conventional glass, while the HONOR Super Steel Hinge is rated for 500,000 folds and can withstand up to 100kg vertically in controlled conditions.
Productivity and Performance
With the Magic Sidebar, the device delivers personalised real-time suggestions, such as summarising articles or displaying subtitles while watching videos. It also comes with Google Gemini pre-installed, accessible with a double-tap gesture on the back of the phone.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform with a second-generation 3nm architecture, the Magic V5 delivers top-tier performance for both business and entertainment.

The AI Falcon Camera System features a 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 100x Digital Zoom, making it the most advanced zoom setup on a foldable device.
Pricing and Availability
Available in Dawn Gold, Ivory White, Reddish Brown, and Black, the HONOR Magic V5 is priced at AED 6,499. Pre-orders in the UAE began on August 14, with early buyers receiving a bundle worth AED 3,695, including a Bose speaker, HONOR Magic Pen, case, and VIP Care+.
