Air Arabia Launches Daily Direct Flights Between Sharjah and Krabi, Expanding UAE–Thailand Connectivity

Air Arabia has launched a new daily nonstop service connecting Sharjah with the Thai coastal city of Krabi, marking the latest expansion of the low-cost carrier’s network in Southeast Asia. The inaugural flight departed Sharjah International Airport on 28 November 2025 and received an official welcome on arrival.

Passengers were greeted at Krabi Airport by Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Phipat Ratchakitprakarn, alongside senior representatives from Air Arabia and airport officials. The ceremony underscored the growing importance of tourism and trade links between the UAE and Thailand, a market that has seen increasing outbound and inbound travel in recent years.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said the new route represents an important step in strengthening connectivity between the two countries. “Operating our first flight to Krabi marks another milestone in expanding our network in Southeast Asia,” he said. “This new daily service offers our customers greater convenience and strengthens the growing travel and trade links between the UAE and Thailand. With Krabi now joining Bangkok and Phuket on our network from Sharjah, customers can enjoy even more convenient travel options to the country’s most popular destinations.”

The carrier will operate the route using its fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Both models are among the most widely used single-aisle jets globally and are central to Air Arabia’s strategy of offering efficient, short- to medium-haul services. Onboard, passengers can access “SkyTime,” the airline’s complimentary streaming service, and purchase meals and snacks from the “SkyCafe” menu. Travellers enrolled in “Air Rewards,” the airline’s loyalty programme, will also be able to earn and redeem points on the new service.

Krabi is one of Thailand’s most visited coastal provinces, known for its limestone cliffs, white-sand beaches, coral reefs, hot springs and sea caves. It also serves as a gateway to several island destinations and national parks, making it a popular choice for tourists seeking nature and adventure.

The addition of Krabi strengthens Air Arabia’s expanding Asian footprint and enhances its position as the region’s leading low-cost carrier. Customers can access the full flight schedule and make bookings through the airline’s website, contact centre or authorised travel agents.
