Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new direct service connecting the UAE capital with Damascus, the Syrian capital, starting October 28, 2025. The airline will operate three weekly flights between Zayed International Airport and Damascus International Airport, with services scheduled every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The new route marks a significant addition to Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s expanding network, offering passengers more convenient and affordable travel options between the two cities. The service also reinforces the airline’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional connectivity and support travel and trade across the Middle East.
Commenting on the new service, Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said, “The launch of our new service between Abu Dhabi and Damascus marks another step in Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s continued network expansion strategy. This new addition underscores our commitment to enhancing regional air connectivity and providing our customers with greater access to key destinations across the Middle East. As we continue to strengthen our network from the UAE capital, we remain dedicated to contributing to the growth of travel, trade, and tourism across the region.”
The introduction of the Damascus route builds on Air Arabia’s existing non-stop service from Sharjah to the Syrian capital, further strengthening the airline’s presence in the Levant region. The carrier currently serves over 30 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia, aligning with Abu Dhabi’s broader vision to boost air connectivity and promote tourism and economic development.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates a modern fleet of 12 Airbus A320 aircraft, recognized as one of the world’s most efficient single-aisle planes. Passengers can enjoy a comfortable journey featuring the airline’s “SkyTime” complimentary in-flight streaming service and “SkyCafe” onboard menu. Frequent flyers can also benefit from “Air Rewards,” which is considered one of the most generous loyalty programs in the region.
Bookings for the new Abu Dhabi–Damascus flights are now open through Air Arabia’s official website, call centre, and authorized travel agencies. The launch of this new route is expected to facilitate stronger cultural and economic ties between the UAE and Syria while offering travellers an affordable and reliable connection between the two capitals.
