Middle East’s Largest Precast Concrete Factory Opens in Dubai

Dubai has unveiled the region’s largest precast concrete factory, Safetech, a state-of-the-art facility set to revolutionize the UAE’s construction sector. With an annual production capacity exceeding 700,000 cubic meters, the newly inaugurated factory aims to enhance efficiency and quality in construction projects across the region.

Spanning an expansive 2.2 million square feet, the facility includes a 750,000-square-foot production area and an 800,000-square-foot storage yard. The project is a collaboration between MIG Holding and National Industries Park (NIP), a DP World company, reflecting a strategic push to strengthen the country’s industrial and construction capabilities.

The inauguration ceremony, held on Monday, was attended by Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, along with Eng. Abdul Halim Muwahid, Chairman of MIG Holding and Safetech. Speaking at the event, Muwahid emphasized the factory’s role in transforming the UAE’s construction landscape.

“This milestone aligns with our vision to expand in the construction sector and offer innovative solutions that drive both efficiency and quality,” said Muwahid.

The UAE’s construction sector is a major driver of the economy, contributing nearly 12% to the country’s GDP. Industry analysts project steady growth, with the sector expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.26% until 2030.

Abdulla Bin Damithan highlighted the significance of Safetech’s advanced technologies in streamlining operations and reinforcing the local supply chain.

“Innovation is key to advancing operational efficiencies in manufacturing, and Safetech’s advanced technology will enhance construction quality while strengthening the local and regional supply chain of precast concrete solutions,” said Bin Damithan.

The launch of Safetech is seen as a strategic move to support the UAE’s broader industrial and infrastructure development initiatives. By leveraging cutting-edge precast concrete solutions, the facility is expected to accelerate project timelines, reduce costs, and contribute to sustainable construction practices in the region.

With rapid urbanization and large-scale infrastructure projects on the rise, the new factory is poised to meet growing demand while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a hub for innovation in the construction industry.
